Aesthetix is the
brain child of engineer and music lover Jim White. Avid concert-going from the
age of 10 and a well read subscription to Stereophile at age 13 were the early
hints of what would become a life consuming obsession with music and vinyl
playback. After advanced studies in physics, mathematics and electrical
engineering, Jim began honing his skills in 1990 at Theta Digital. His
contributions to the Theta Casablanca and Dreadnaught were his first examples of
outstanding design. Analog remained Jim's true hi-fi passion, and in 1993 work
on a massive tube phono stage began in his garage. Audiophile friends who heard
the first homemade unit urged him to build more and thus Aesthetix was born. The
result of groundbreaking design and a commitment to build quality, the Aesthetix
Jupiter Series Io phono stage and Callisto line stage soon became industry
benchmarks, garnering Golden Ear and Editor's Choice awards. The Saturn Series
followed, offering a full range of products from source to amplification and is

Callisto ECLIPSE VERSION DETAILS Jupiter
Series Io and Callisto are available in (and factory upgradable to) an Eclipse
Edition. The Eclipse transformation takes already industry standard setting
products to a whole new level of performance. Io, Callisto and their respective
power supply receive enhanced internal parts, improved chassis construction, and
stunning customizable casework. StealthCap Capacitors Musical
signals passing through a capacitor are blurred or clouded as signal reflections
bouncing off the capacitor plate corrupt the original musical signal. StealthCap
capacitors created by Peter Moncrief aim to cure this problem by dramatically
reducing reflections along the capacitor plate. The "Stealth Technology" is made
possible by a combination of laborious precision handiwork and costly exotic
materials including new conductors, dielectrics, and composite resins. The
resulting signal has a quieter background, rich and detailed spatial imaging,
time focused musical coherence, and a broader more impactful dynamic range. The
Io Eclipse uses eight .22uF / 600v Stealth coupling capacitors made of exotic
copper foil. These are used between the second and third gain stages, and the
third gain stage and output stage. The Io and Callisto Eclipse output stages
also use eight 4uF / 400v Stealth capacitors in a unique balanced configuration.
Chassis Construction Eclipse Edition chassis feature an extremely rigid
and acoustically damped design, delivering new levels of articulation and
clarity. Three separate side and top panels are machined from aluminum billet.
Each panel is constrain layer damped with advanced 3M adhesives, requiring a
labor intensive application of heat and pressure for proper mating. Advanced
interlock material and machine screws are used to attach the panels for easy
tube access. Harmonic Resolution Systems Nimbus Couplers, specially made for
Aesthetix, are used to intimately couple the chassis with the equipment rack,
greatly reducing mechanical noise. Casework Design and Customization
Eclipse editions feature a stunning multi-piece front panel which includes
detailed machining of the front panel casing, inlay and logo. Jupiter Eclipse

preamps, and Atlas power amplifiers. Ultra Low Jitter USB and SPDIF
The Pandora is a vacuum tube based digital-to-analog converter with USB and
three SPDIF inputs. USB runs in asynchronous mode, with an ultra-low jitter
fixed-frequency crystal clock immediately adjacent to the DAC. It runs in
user-selectable class 1 audio, up to 96KHz / 24 bit or class 2, up to 192KHz /
24 bit. SPDIF/AES inputs use unique technology that offers jitter performance on
par with asynchronous USB and are also capable of up to 192KHz / 24 bit.
Vacuum Tube Analog Stages The Aesthetix reputation for state-of-the-art
analog stages is continued in the Pandora, which features a current-sourced
differential vacuum tube amplifier (12AX7) being fed from the DAC. Differential
amplifiers have the unique ability of rejecting "common mode" signals,
particularly useful in digital audio products, where high speed clocks and other
digital noise can disrupt the delicate analog circuitry. Following the first
differential amplifier, the audio signal is fed to the output stage, another
differential amplifier based on the 6DJ8 vacuum tube. Both Pandora and Romulus
feature Rel-Cap polypropylene coupling capacitors and Roederstein metal film
resistors. Dedicated and Isolated CD Transport Romulus builds upon
the Pandora's unique feature set and performance by adding a dedicated Red Book
CD transport, also running from the low jitter master clock. Completely enclosed
in its own faraday cage, it is electrically, mechanically and magnetically
isolated from the rest of the DAC. Two separate transformers and three
regulation stages are added to further isolate the transport mechanism from the
DAC power supplies. High Resolution Volume Control An optional high
resolution relay-based volume control may be added to either Pandora or Romulus,
allowing them to directly drive a power amplifier, ideal for many systems. This
special volume control operates partially in the digital domain (for small 1dB
steps) and partially in the analog domain (6dB large steps), assuring

The Pandora is a vacuum tube based digital-to-analog converter with USB and
three SPDIF inputs. USB runs in asynchronous mode, with an ultra-low jitter
fixed-frequency crystal clock immediately adjacent to the DAC. It runs in
user-selectable class 1 audio, up to 96KHz / 24 bit or class 2, up to 192KHz /
24 bit. SPDIF/AES inputs use unique technology that offers jitter performance on
par with asynchronous USB and are also capable of up to 192KHz / 24 bit.
Vacuum Tube Analog Stages The Aesthetix reputation for state-of-the-art
analog stages is continued in the Pandora, which features a current-sourced
differential vacuum tube amplifier (12AX7) being fed from the DAC. Differential
amplifiers have the unique ability of rejecting "common mode" signals,
particularly useful in digital audio products, where high speed clocks and other
digital noise can disrupt the delicate analog circuitry. Following the first
differential amplifier, the audio signal is fed to the output stage, another
differential amplifier based on the 6DJ8 vacuum tube. Both Pandora and Romulus
feature Rel-Cap polypropylene coupling capacitors and Roederstein metal film
resistors. Dedicated and Isolated CD Transport Romulus builds upon
the Pandora's unique feature set and performance by adding a dedicated Red Book
CD transport, also running from the low jitter master clock. Completely enclosed
in its own faraday cage, it is electrically, mechanically and magnetically
isolated from the rest of the DAC. Two separate transformers and three
regulation stages are added to further isolate the transport mechanism from the
DAC power supplies. High Resolution Volume Control An optional high
resolution relay-based volume control may be added to either Pandora or Romulus,
allowing them to directly drive a power amplifier, ideal for many systems. This
special volume control operates partially in the digital domain (for small 1dB
steps) and partially in the analog domain (6dB large steps), assuring
uncompromising performance. ROMULUS VACUUM TUBE USB AND SPDIF DIGITAL-TO-ANALOG
CONVERTER AND CD PLAYER The Romulus includes the same features and
construction as Pandora, but adds a CD transport mechanism: CD mechanism
is a Teac drive specially designed for audio, Red Book only.
Two-transformer based power supply dedicated only to drive. CD clock
source is ultra high quality crystal oscillator located at the DAC chip, for
lowest possible jitter. Available in black or silver faceplate. Unit

uno smagnetizzatore per testine MC abbordabile e in grado diripristinare il
potenziale della testina privandola di residui sonici. La smagnetizzazione
periodica di una testina a bobina mobile (consigliate 1-2 settimane) rimuove la
