Point-to-point wired using premium parts: dual-layer, polypropylene coupling
caps; low-noise resistors; high-purity copper conductors and the cleanest build

pentode push-pull design is built around 6SN7 input/driver tubes and EL-34 power
tubes that deliver a dynamic presentation. And the ia11's dual-mono Adaptive
AutoBias circuit automatically adjusts each tube to its sweet spot. Want to try
different EL34s? Just plug them in! Topping it off, the ia11 utilizes a 24-step

flexibility. The ia21 is designed specifically for you. With larger, more
powerful transformers, the ia21 delivers 50 watts per channel that sound like
100. Coupled with Mystère’s pentode, push-pull design, ia21’s sonics strike you
immediately as smooth but lively, with rich tones, snappy transients and a
stunningly lifelike soundstage. Flexibility comes with an advancement to
Mystère’s proprietary Adaptive AutoBias board. Our engineers have developed a
special circuit that re-calibrates the board for EL34s or KT88s. One flick of a

never really heard it. Until now. Introducing the ca21, our flagship
preamplifier. It’s larger chassis is designed to match aesthetically with the
pa21 stereo power amp. And sonically, the combination off the two is
otherworldlyThe ca21’s full-size chassis provides a much larger playground for
Mystère’s European engineers. It gives them space, a tremendous advantage for
less restrictive designs, for more and improved power supplies, and for the most
advantageous wiring positions. It takes a lot of trial and error to find the
best route for wires; the more space, the more options—but ultimately, the
better the result. With these separates, the results are phenomenal. Like the
ca11, the ca21 uses an SRPP (Series Regulated Push-Pull) circuit for high gain,
low distortion and very low output impedance by using a variation of the White
Cathode Follower. The circuit uses no negative feedback for more natural
tonality. It uses a single 5AR4 for rectification followed by a massive pi
network consisting of a big inductor, separate left and right channel capacitors,
regulator circuits and DC filament supplies. Further improvements are realized
by using a larger power transformer and increased power supply filtration. Add
this together with high quality, heavy duty, 24-step volume attenuator and fast,
wide-band polypropylene caps, point-to-point wiring with rigid copper wire,

Mystère pa11 is the natural evolution of the critically acclaimed ia11
integrated amplifier. You get the same 40 watts of pure pentode operation and
the rich, piano-gloss black finish but with a separate chassis for just the
power stage, you can bet we’ve added a host of upgradesWhen we break down our
integrated amplifiers into separates, we offer much more than the pre- or power
stage of that integrated. So while the pa11 power amp evolves from the
critically-acclaimed ia11, it offers much more. For instance...
We once again offer 40 watts of pure pentode output per channel, maintaining all
the glory and beauty of tubes. However, the transformers in the pa11 are
completely different, providing much more efficient power that delivers
incredible depth and punch. We do implement a very modest amount of global
negative feedback to make the amp rock solid.
We also use a high power, low impedance, solid state rectification circuit
followed by a massive pi network using the highest quality caps and resistors.
In the signal path are only two high quality Solen coupling capacitors. Finally,
we implement Mystère’s proprietary Adaptive AutoBias circuit, specifically tuned
for Pentode operation. Optimized for EL34s (but allowing for many others) the
AutoBias circuit is continuously tweaking each tube to its sweet spot. No
biasing, no need for matched tubes, no worries. Combine the pa11 with the ca11
preamplfier, and you will enjoy the finest quality parts and design, with sound
rivaling systems costing twice as much.

final word on the importance of space: the additional room inside our full-sized
chassis allowed us to fully rethink our already superlative designs. More space
equals less restrictions and the result is truly remarkable… the pa21, our
flagship power amplifier.The pa21 maximizes all our efforts with more power,
more dynamics and greater flexibility. The full-sized chassis allows us to use
larger transformers and bigger caps and resistors, delivering greater control
and detail. The result is 55 watts of pure pentode output per channel, and
improved stability throughout the amplifier. We do implement a very modest
amount of global negative feedback to make the amp rock solid. With more room at
their disposal, our engineers continued to search for improvements, such optimal
efficiency, the lowest signal degradation and the greatest immunity from noise
and hum. They accomplished just that, with carefully separated and laid-out
signal ground, power supply ground and chassis ground schematics. We’ve also
advanced our proprietary Adaptive AutoBias board with a special circuit that
re-calibrates it for EL34s or KT88s. One flick of a switch allows you to run
either tube at its optimal level. And as always, the board continuously monitors
each tube, tweaking it to its sweet spot. There’s no biasing, no need for
matched tubes, no worries. Combine the pa21 with its matching full-size ca21
preamplfier, and experience a truly reference-quality system, without a typical
reference-quality price tag
